Winning Powerball numbers drawn in Arizona and Missouri

Some lucky people in Arizona and Missouri have won the $579 million Powerball, according to CNN.


Lottery officials have reportedly discovered that tickets with the winning numbers were bought in those two states. It has not been announced how many winners will split the jackpot.


The winning numbers for Wednesday's Powerball drawing are 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 and the Powerball is 6.


Tickets for Wednesday night's drawing were reportedly selling at a rate of 130,000 per minute.


Shortly after the drawing, the Powerball website temporarily crashed from the high volume of traffic.


Powerball estimates the odds of winning the jackpot at 1 in 175,223,510. 


In all, 42 states, plus Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands play Powerball.
