Tuscola County sheriff's deputies are investigating after a teenager was struck by a vehicle while he was riding a skateboard down a local roadway.
Around 5:51 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies were called to Fostoria Road near Barnes Road in Watertown Township after the 14-year-old was struck. The driver of the vehicle, 24-year-old Scott Valentine, of Fostoria, told investigators he was driving southbound on Fostoria when he hit the teen.
Authorities said the boy was wearing dark clothes and riding the skateboard in the traffic portion of Fostoria Road.
Deputies said the teen was critically injured and taken to an area hospital. Right now there's no word on his condition.
