Michigan prosecutors have charged a 43-year-old man suspected in a shooting spree along a 100-mile stretch of roads with assault with a dangerous weapon and other gun charges.
A district court judge set Raulie Casteel's bond at $2 million during Wednesday's hearing in Howell. Casteel's next court date was scheduled for Nov. 14.
More charges are expected elsewhere this week.
Casteel was arrested Monday in Wixom. He's suspected in 24 shootings, mostly involving moving cars in communities near Interstate 96. One person was injured.
The shootings occurred Oct. 16 through Oct. 18, then stopped until Oct. 27.
Casteel has described himself online as a geologist with experience in environmental cleanup. His Twitter feed is deeply critical of President Barack Obama.
The Saginaw News is reporting that Casteel has no prior criminal record. Casteel's mother Lana Hunt has told the Detroit Free Press that she's worried he might be mentally ill but refuses to see a doctor.
