Investigators have charged the man they say robbed a Mount Pleasant Subway restaurant.
Vincent Miguel Belmarez, 28, is accused of holding up the restaurant at gunpoint on Sunday night.
The robbery was just one of five armed robberies that have happened over a three day span in the city. Belmarez is currently lodged in the Isabella County Jail on $950,000 bond.
Right now it's not clear if he's suspected in the additional robberies.
Central Michigan Life reports that Belmarez had previously been convicted of possessing marijuana, which made it illegal for him to possess the gun at all.
Public school officials in Mount Pleasant have tightened security following the robberies and police at Central Michigan University have issued warnings.
A cash-advance shop was robbed about Monday by a man who threatened an employee with a handgun. Other area businesses that have been robbed include a grocery store and another cash-advance outlet.
