A local activist group is asking the governor to get more police boots in Saginaw, and so far Gov. Rick Snyder isn't saying yes.
The group, Saginaw Rising, wants 25 Michigan State Troopers from the current class to fight crime in Saginaw.
According to The Saginaw News, the governor will not make that call, leaving the decision up to Michigan State Police.
On Wednesday, Saginaw Rising will be revealing its new plan to fight crime in the city.
Top officials in the governor's office and with state police will be there.
