A Saginaw County sheriff's deputy was involved in a crash around noon on Tuesday.
Investigators tell TV5 a white Ford Explorer and the deputy collided at Harrison and Mackinaw streets.
At this hour it's unclear what caused the crash.
The Ford Explorer ended up landing on its side and stopped next to a telephone pole.
The sheriff's department says a woman and three children were inside that vehicle. The kids got out safely with only cuts and bruises, but the driver was pinned in.
First responders used the Jaws of Life to get her out.
She was taken to an area hospital and her condition is not considered life-threatening.
The sheriff's deputy was not injured and authorities said the crash was not the result of a high-speed chase.
The Saginaw Police Department is investigating the reason for the collision.
