Santa hands out presents early at book giveaway

Santa delivered 900 books to children as an early Christmas present. The FedEx Center in Flint Township teamed up with the United Way of Genesee County for the book giveaway.

The book donation was made possible by the hard work of the employees at the FedEx Office Print & Ship Center at 3170 S. Linden Rd. in Flint Township.

Jillian Barnett, a store employee, said the FedEx team decided to donate books as part of their annual United Way campaign drive.

"This incredible gift comes at a perfect time," said Jerry Leman, interim director of the United Way of Genesee County.

Santa handed out the books to children based on their age and reading level.
