Runners take on snow and cold during Winterlaufe race

Cold weather didn't stop more than 500 runners from descending on Franenmuth. The annual Winterlaufe race in an 8K challenge on a cold February day.

Runners say the key to staying warm is dressing in layers but some brave people wore shorts!

The course took runners through Frankenmuth, across Beyer Road Bridge then back downtown where they finished.
