Detroit police say they aren't getting much help trying to determine how a 3-year-old boy sustained a gunshot wound in the foot.
Police Officer Christine Rozier says the department can't confirm earlier broadcast reports that the boy accidentally shot himself.
Rozier says the shooting happened about 11:30 a.m. Thursday at a home on the city's northwest side. She says the boy was listed in temporarily serious condition at a hospital.
Rozier says several adults were in the house at the time of the shooting but "they aren't cooperating with the Detroit Police Department." She says investigators have recovered a weapon in the case.
