Charges are expected for a man accused of trapping a couple so he could attack them.
Jesse Carey was arrested Thursday in Lapeer County.
He was spotted walking along M-53 in Imlay City.
Investigators say Carey placed a tree in the middle of the road so he could attack the boyfriend of his former girlfriend.
When the man got out of the car to move the tree, police said Carey hit the man over the head with an object.
The victim is hospitalized with severe head injuries.
