Officials respond to fire at Saginaw restaurant

Fire crews responded to the scene of two blazes on Saginaw's westside Tuesday morning.


The first fire at La Placita restaurant, located at 1515 S. Michigan Avenue, broke out around 6:15 a.m.


The restaurant is located on Michigan Avenue, between Fraser and Dearborn Streets, just southwest of M-46.


Another fire broke out at a home at1121 S. Hamilton Street in Saginaw.


This blaze, which broke out about 6:30 a.m., appears to be at a residential structure.


No injuries have been reported at either fire and the extent of damage is not known at this time.
