New mayor named in Mount Pleasant
At a city commission meeting in Mount Pleasant Monday night, a new mayor was announced for the central Michigan City.
According to CM Life, Kathy Ling was selected as the new mayor.
Ling joined the commission in 2008 and is now in her sixth year as a member.
Last year she was the vice mayor.
Sharon Tilmann, the newly elected vice president, has served on the commission before as mayor and vice mayor between 1995 and 2001.
