Major construction project upcoming in Bay City

Next week, construction will begin on Salzburg Avenue between Lafayette Bridge and Euclid Avenue in Bay City.


Crews will be out repairing roads and replace a railroad crossing. Curbs, gutters and traffic signals will be upgraded.


You can expect some slowdowns and there will also be detours posted. Alternative routes when traveling east or westbound in that area include West Ivy Avenue or West Ionia Street.


The construction is expected to be finished in November.
