FOX 66 News at Ten
Eighty soldiers from Michigan, and 23 from mid-Michigan, are back home with their families today.
The soldiers are from the 125th Infantry Battalion, based out of Flint.
The returning unit is headquartered in Flint, but it has companies located in Bay City, Saginaw and four other cities.
The soldiers arrived at Capitol City airport in Lansing this morning.
They spent the past year involved in security missions and assisted the Afghan police.
More than 1,700 Michigan National Guard soldiers are deployed all over the world.
