Local college to host 'Listening Tour'

Residents have a chance to sound off to local Democrats.

Five members of the state House will take part in what they're calling a "Listening Tour."

State Representatives Charles Smiley of Burton, Pam Farris of Clio, Terry Brown of Pigeon, Charles Brunner of Bay City and Stacey Erwin-Oakes of Saginaw will be on hand inside of Mott's M-Tec Center Auditorium.

Residents will be given a chance to voice their opinions about tax increases and education funding cuts, along with other topics of concern.

They're also offering a forum for seniors whose taxes have increased and small business owners who can't create jobs.

If you're interested in attending, the event begins at 6 p.m. Monday at Mott Community College in Flint.
