Latest homicide brings Flint's 2012 total to 65
Police in Flint are investigating after a man's body was found on Carton Street near Saginaw Street.
According to Flint police, the man's shooting death is the city's 65th homicide of 2012, just one killing away from the homicide record set in 2010.
Investigators have not released the man's name, but did say his body was found just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
The Flint Journal reports the homicide is the third in the city since Sunday.
Authorities are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call police at 810-237-6801 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.
