Buena Vista Township police officers busted a home that allegedly was housing an illegal gambling operation after shots were fired at the home early Saturday morning.
The home is on the 4000 block of Morris Street, near Dixie Highway.
Police went to the home on a shots fired complaint, but when they went to check out the disturbance, they found materials consistent with an illegal gambling operation. Police seized calculators, money counters, betting pads, file cabinets, accounting records, currency and coin.
Five people have been charged. The suspects are charged with conducting a criminal enterprise and racketeering.
The suspects are expected to be arraigned Tuesday.
