Frankenmuth bakery featured on Food Network Competition
SugarHigh Bakery will compete for top honors and a cash prize on Food Network. The Frankenmuth bake shop will face off against three other teams from around the country.
The episode of Cupcake Wars will air on Food Network Sunday at 8 p.m.
The challenge will test the skills of owners Heather and Adam Rousseau. The competition will celebrate the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as bakers create their confections around the theme.
The winners will receive a $10,000 cash prize and get the opportunity to showcase their cupcakes at a special event.
Heather Rousseau said she dreamed of appearing on Food Network's Cupcake Wars and she has tried to get on the show for years. The producers contacted her to participate in an episode featuring "baking couples."
SugarHigh Bakery is located in the Frankenmuth River Place Shops.
