Flint trio killed by carbon monoxide poisoning to be laid to rest

Family and friends will say goodbye as a family of three is laid to rest.

A funeral service will be held Thursday for 43-year-old Troy Edwards, his wife, 37-year-old Selena Carranza-Edwards, and her 11-year-old son, Jayson Cobbin.

The three were found in a home in Flint on Christmas Day.

Emergency crews were called to the family's home on the 600 block of Foss Avenue after another family member in the home noticed that the two adults were not breathing.

Their deaths are being blamed on carbon monoxide poisoning. The funeral will be at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church located at 1083 Stewart Ave. in Flint.

A funeral fund remains active at the Serenity Funeral Chapel in Mt. Morris Township.

The funeral begins at noon.
