A 3-year-old child is clinging to life after being savagely beaten in Flint last week.
The child, who is from Flint, was hospitalized last week.
Officials are calling it one of the worst cases of abuse they have ever seen.
This case could be different than others because it is one of the first since Dominick's Law was put into effect.
Child abuse charges have now become enhanced due to the introduction of the law, and first-degree child abuse now carries a life sentence.
Charges in this case are expected to come Monday.
