Mundy Township Police and Genesee County paramedics were called to the Holiday Inn on Saturday after a child was pulled from the pool and found to be not breathing.
The incident happened around 7:40 p.m. at the hotel on Gateway Center while the child, whom authorities have only identified as a 2-year-old from Flint, was attending a birthday party.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and took over from citizens performing CPR on the child. The child was taken to Hurley Hospital and is currently in critical condition.
The only other piece of information released by authorities is that they do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the incident.
