$6.2M to support 9 Michigan health center sites

The federal government has awarded $6.2 million to support nine new health center sites in Michigan.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says the funding announced Thursday is being made available by the Affordable Care Act.

According to the department, the money goes to two sites in Detroit as well as locations in Grand Rapids, Saginaw and Traverse City.

Other sites are in Centreville, Cassopolis, Mount Clemens and Inkster. Details about the funding are posted online.
